Hello Everyone,

I have become so pleased with the photos I am now taking since I first started a year ago last June that I decided to print out some 8x10's. Nothing professional, just regular inkjet photo prints on photo paper. My question is this: Are there special plastic sheet protectors for inkjet photo prints? After the prints seemed dry enough I slipped them into ordinary plastic sheet protectors and put them in a three-ring binder. It's like two weeks now since I made the first prints, and every time I open the binder I find my photos are sticking to the inside of the plastic sleeves - especially where the ink is black.

Is it the sleeves, the paper (it's supposed to be premium grade photo paper), or the ink? Or, as they said on Monty Python, is it something completely different?

Dave, I buy all of my archival supplies from
University Products.

I would suggest Mylar for the photos you are serious about
preserving:

One other thing to try is the paper. I know I get that stickyness when I use HP paper (both their premium and premium plus papers), but since I switched to Ilford paper, I have yet to have one stick to the sleeve. Plus the images are dry right when they come off the printer.
