I don't want to discourage you, but the light is poor,
there is too much foreground in the shot and the
image seems a little soft to me.

I would also like to participate in this thread... Here is a photo I had rejected for "too dark". It is similar to the lighting in aprobb's photo.

I would have to agree with Dave on this one. I think I would keep that one for my personal collection if it were me.

Andrew, in my opinion, you should submit your photos before testing them in the forums. Try to learn from rejections for what needs to be done to your photos. Then you may ask the forum about specifics regarding it's rejection.

I am probably not the best person to respond to your inquiry, but from what I have learned, I would say to move the loco to the left and down. Eliminate some dead space in front of the loco and expose a little more railcar in the background, and also gain a little more sky, and just a tad less foreground.

I'll second that. If you're afraid of having a photo rejected, don't put your photos up for review by other people...
