This is a photo, that I took on the 20th of November 2004. Sometimes an opportunity presents itself and you have to take the picture even if the conditions are less than ideal. This photo was one of those times. UP 4484 was 1 of 3 engines that derailed at Guymon, Ok on February 10th 2004. This unit was brought into the Coast Engine & Equipment Co. (CEECO) at Tacoma, Washington on the 20th of November 2004. I was not in a position to just walk in and get a better shot. Tried using JASC Paint Shop Pro v8, and this photo is better than the original, but photo editors can't always work miracles.

I still wanted to share this photo, with the Rail Pictures Community since it is not something you see everyday.

Thanks

Hope everyone involved in the derailment was okay, but that's how I like to see UP: crunched!!! [/dislike UP].

Ouch! That's pretty beat up. I hope the crew was OK.

If you feel it was an unfair rejection, please appeal it. Thanks for your contributions.

Very interesting shot. You are right, you don't see that everyday. I think that is one that should have been accepted, even though it is backlit. Thanks for sharing

It was rejected cause it was backlit,I fully understand, but I thought it was nice how the sun shined on the Budd cars. :) I couldn't do much with the eastbound traffic anyway!
