Having uploaded one yesterday, though it might be nice to see some classic meet shots between two trains, not talking over unders or yard shots.

For some reason I have recently preferred meet shots that are side by side - in each case I have a nose to nose version but like these better.

[photoid=299529]
[photoid=298158]

And then there is my pair of opposite (and distant) nose-to-nose/tail-to-tail shots of the same trains.

[photoid=263540]
[photoid=263543]

And one classic nose-to-nose meet

[photoid=252292]

And one old side-by-side

How about an in-cab meet.

[photoid=255021]

How about an all SD40-2 meet ?

[photoid=229793]

Old meets New at the diesel shop.

[photoid=207049]

Meet at the infamous West Toronto Interlocking.

[photoid=196340]

VIA meets GO, don't tell anyone I snuck out of my stand-by job at GO for that shot. :lol:

[photoid=186290]

SD meets GE in my backyard.

I only have 2 where both trains are racing each other:
[photoid=191155]
[photoid=296233]

But, does a train and a tug count? Oops, guess not. That is an over-under.
[photoid=287460]

I also have 1 or 2 with helpers getting passed in the hole, but I'm not counting those.

Ooo I can play in this one with all the trains we run on the Chicago "L". A great chance to show the excitement of our urban scenery.

I gotta say, for someone who doesn't like subways in the slightest, both of those are pretty impressive.

These 2 were running side by side, almost at the same speed as the passenger had stopped at Didcot station, only a mile down the track

[photoid=296042]

Same direction here, but travelling at completely different speeds

Like Chase, I could care less about subways, but you really do a creditable job of capturing them in the urban landscape where they run. You have some truely fantastic shots of them that display a high degree of skill on your part.

And yes, Matt, I think we do. I like these gallery posts, kinda blows the dust off on some old shots for anyone who has missed them or what not.

Guess I've gotta get in on this too:
Commuter trains - when DON'T they meet? But I'll throw in a couple I like
[photoid=241321]
[photoid=289507]
[photoid=289508]
[photoid=290558]

ONR 697 - CN 450
[photoid=205044]
VIA 73 - CN 385 (this one might be pushing it a bit due to the separation)
[photoid=265595]
VIA 73 - CN 398 (had the VIA been 15 seconds earlier it would've been nose to nose on the bridge, oh well)
[photoid=277725]

I'm thinking yard shots or yard lead/mains shots which I've got several of don't really count as meets, but I'll throw this one in cuz it's CN - CP and the switch job's not really in the yard but on a service track (yeah, I know it's pushing it too, but I like the power on the CP train!)
[photoid=226912]

And a late addition

Here are two meets at the same location, but you can see what a difference a few thousand feet in altitude can make!

Two meets from my collection. Interesting comparisons between these two shots... steam tourist line meet in the mountains of the west vs. modern mainline freight meet in the downtown of one of the southeast's biggest cities.

I currently dont have a meet shot in the DB, but my friend allowed me to share some of his. (Note: I was with him on every one of these)

old meets older meets newer

[photoid=279814]

Rare meet as Foreign power leading on the BNSF is hard to come by.

[photoid=273687]

Stacks galore is a Transcon normality

[photoid=273685]

[photoid=224050]

Probably one of the coolest of his
