View Full Version : A Whiteface of the Green Variety

A heads up on Friday morning revealed that 167 had BNSF 6815 leading. A quick check on RP showed that it was a whiteface SD40-2. With all work and business matters caught up on Friday, Emmett and I headed west to Avenstoke to get a few shots of it travelling over the Louisville District. This was the only real acceptable train of the day. 236 also had some acceptable power in the form of a BNSF "possum" SD70MAC, but it passed late in the afternoon as the shadows prevented any chance of a good shot. However, we both managed a few shots of 167 and they are as follows:

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=86710 - Through the S-curve at Pumphouse Rd. near McBrayer, just east of Lawrenceburg

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=86711 - The final shot of 167 passing the farm at Vanarsdall, taken while standing on the toolbox in Emmett's truck

Hope y'all enjoy, and thanks for looking!
