Winchester & Western 86 to Hagerstown with SD9 leading

As promised, a few photos of this line to go with previous discussions:

1. First shot of 2010, and first revenue move for the WW for the year. Train 86 pulls up to the Guardian lead to pick up the balance of their train for the trip to Hagerstown.

2. 86 northbound for Hagerstown in frigid temperatures and sweet morning light.

3. A 1.5 mile hike in each direction nets this shot of 86 crossing the frigid Potomac River.

4. Our "star" visitor, BDRV SD9 led for the trip south, here passing through Bedington, WV.

5. 86 southbound through Berkeley.

6. Engineer Roy returns from tieing down his train, which will await an evening crew to take it to Winchester.

With a wind chill hovering around zero all day, it was a tough go, but well worth the effort. Hope you all enjoyed the photos.
