I understand back-lighting is sort of frowned upon, but I like this shot in the artistic sense. It was taken in the early morning..

Is there something I could do to get it accepted or should I let it slide?

It would probably be best to just let that one go. To me, it looks like just a backlit wedgie shot of some common power and not all that artistic.

Here's a shot that's a little more on the artistic side. http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=88461

I would just let that one slide. The backlighting is just too severe, in my opinion. If the sun were at a lower angle, it would have made a decent glint shot.

I didn't get to see the shot so I don't know exactly what you had there but I have learned (Through Many, many trials & errors) that it is personal prefrence that makes a shot "good" or "not"

Take Care,
