On a bad monitor here at work, but the snow on the ground looks a little blue to me. A much bigger problem with this shot is the pole shadow cutting the nose in half. Unless you have another shot with the train further back, I don't see this shot making it to RP.

I dont think the lighting is going to cut it there, there is a shadow of a telephone pole cutting down the nose of the unit, the trucks and front plow are partially shadowed, the white balance seems off (blueish snow). my .02

It has a little bit of a pink tint to it for me. Also, it seems kind of short. What are the dimensions?

Think it needs more yellow, The auto white balance killed the start of golden glow? Take it off AWB and set to cloudy or daylight. It wont make it on as shadows killed it as Chris pointed out. But it's a nice shot to work on. welcome back and watch the shadows.

There are multiple issues. If you fix the color, there will be others thrown at you.

So in this shot, there is:
Bad color
Bad cropping
Bad shadows
Unattractive elements on the right and bottom
Image quality.

At the moment, this is a snapshot.

Go out again, compose without the distracting shadows, more sky, less ground, sun at your back, camera at highest quality, and focus point set.

The wedgie is the basic shot that we all have to master and it has to be perfect to get on RP.

I would go shoot this again except that this train usually runs at night and it was a rare daylight move. So i really dont have many shots to work from. I did adjust the color and it was rejected for other reasons so i'm just going to leave it at that.

Sorry this is just shot all wrong, when you have only little light patches amid shadows to work with, broadside is usually not the way to go.
