Faster then I expected I can now announce that every passenger train type in regular use in the Netherlands is now in the database.
Credit where credit is due, I did not do it all myself. Simon de Rudder posted two pictures of the "DH-2 Wadloper". This train is only in operation in the north and I did not want to travel this far to get a pic of it. So thanks to Simon my mission is over!
Now for some more cargo trains!

Well done Peter!
If only I could do that for the UK, there are just too many types of train :D It took until today just to get all the passenger types used by my local operator (and employer) 'South West Trains'.

Good job guys, keep them coming.
Anyone want to go to Germany and get some of their trains? :D

In a few weeks I'll be going to Duesseldorf to the airport for some planespotting. If I got some frames left on my camera I'll get some train pics from there. Last time I only made a fwe pics of the ICE-3.
Don't know when I will be going, depends more on the weather then anything else really.
German trains don't look quite as good as Dutch trains I think, of course excluding their ICE's which look great!
Actually, in my opinion, I think German trains look great. The driving-cabs of the IC and IR are fantastic. Of course, their trains looked better when they were all different colours, Red IC, Blue IR, Green RE, etc...
Now, it's just ICE-scheme for all long-distance trains and "traffic red" for all local trains.
Oh yea, the Metropolitan looks great, too! I think they stop at Dusseldorf!
When are you going Peter? I was thinking of heading over there myself :)

I will be going to Dusseldorf Airport. The big one, not the small one with only VLM F50 and Ryanair. I haven't decided yet when I will be going. It will have to be in the weekend though because of my work.
Whenever I go, I usually take the ICE international leaving Arnhem (NL) at around 08:14 and arriving at Duisburg Hauptbahnhof at 09:05. From there I take a local train arriving at the airport at 09:31. I leave whenever I run out of film or I can't be bothered to stay. :D
Just tell me when you want to go, that would be easier I suppose. After all, you would have to book a flight/eurostar whereas I can just show up at the train station and go. (just pick a DRY day, right? :D
It's more difficult for me, I usually work weekends so I'll be going on a weekday-I would come over with BA or LH-Eurostar is too slow for that sort of thing.
In any case if you and I go on the same day I will just end up rejecting your pics as Bad Double

Then I'll have to upload them before you do, no? Or bribe on of the new screeners, their new found fame might go to their head, and then I stike! :D
When you decide to go, drop me a line (petertenthije@yahoo.com). If it is well in advance, a week and a half or so, I should be able to ask for a free day.
You missed something there Peter, I'm one of the new screeners
Feel free to bribe me anyway-not that it will work :)
I have screened some of your pics already Peter and they have all been easy to accept, you are producing some quality stuff.

You're new at it? I was under the impression you had been doing it for quite a while now!
Good to hear the new fame has not gone to your head (yet?). If we meet at DUS or AMS I'll buy you a beer or something. I'll make you so drunk that 2 days later when you are screening my pics you won't even realise I uploaded them upsidedown!
I am saving my pocket money already!

According to the website of the SSN the ride has been cancelled due to a lack of interest.

Hey Peter, it's me....KL713 from the Airliners.net forum
That's a very nice database you have on this site  , I'm in Australia right now....Apart from a lot of Qantas tails I've seen a lot of different trains, from Sydney's CityRail to Perth's Fastrak, and I've travelled on The Indian Pacific just 3 weeks ago, one of the legendary ones 8) Maybe I'm gonna upload some of my Australia pictures to the database....
So how are things going in the Dutch rail scene at the moment?, Arnhem Central in particular........
you can mail me as well if you like to....
grtz Danny
Are there any UK Class 37 pics on the database as I have found 2 as of yet.All my shots are to cluttered and low spec to even bother attempting to upload...Would really like to see some more on here!

the trains, well i have not been using them a lot recently now i am no longer a student.
Suffice to say nothing ever changes. Syntus still never checks tickets except when you don't want them to, NS is still crowded in rushhours. Arnhem Central is still a construction site, but the undergound parking area is shaping up. The bus terminal is in use (you probably already knew that?). A shooting incident two or 3 weeks back when some nutter fired on a few passing trains. Some minor damage but no injuries.
Other than that not much news in NL. It is cold, windy but not too wet. It snowed a tad last week!
Here's a couple for you KJ,

We don't get many over here in West London but I have a couple more I'll upload if I have time.
