Yep....a bad situation for all of those involved. Heres to keeping those families of the crew, residents, and everyone esle involved in our prayers. Its a kick of reality as to how dangerous trains can be....

It appears now that the crew of train already in siding went off duty, but left switch locked and lined for the siding instead of locking it lined for main.

Human error. You can't stop it, you can only hope to limit its effects. Truly sad...

Well said. This topic was also discussed on the NSRailfan Yahoo Group and there was a lot of finger pointing and speculation going on. So quick are we to place blame without learning all the facts.
