Suggestions from the rejection gurus?

I personally wouldn't have nailed it with a balance ding, but a general cropping for that part of it. The train is pretty tight on the top. The tomb stones balance the photo with interest IMO.
BUT, the main issue I see is the obstructing tree limb, followed by the closest part of the fence. The fence is kind of distracting. Some might ding the lighting, but I kinda like it because of the cemetery mood in the photo.

I find the wrought iron fence in the foreground and the branches in front of the locomotive very distracting

I thought it was fine as-is. Nice shot!

I like it also. It is different and I would expect no less from you Luke. Keep this stuff up Luke and maybe one day you will be shooting the POTUS.

Not a fan; to me it tries to do too much in too little space - the foreground blurred fence detail is an extra layer of detail that is unnecessary, and overall the crop is too tight for my tastes.

This is exactly what I thought the first time I looked at it, but it grew on me for some reason.

I like it.. I think the obstructing tree limb makes the scene a bit more dramatic.

Disagree. The fence provides a perfect frame for the bottom of the shot, instead of the shot just ending with some dead grass below the headstones. The tree at the right side serves the same purpose.

Agree, however, only on the top. I think a little bit more room on the top will make this a winner. Unfortunately, since it doesn't have a female form somewhere in the shot, most lonely foamers won't view the shot and it won't get the recognition it deserves.

Gee, I wonder what the question was just prior to this photo being taken.

I think we can do without the political rhetoric here...
