This one was accepted last night, but when I woke up this morning, it wasn't in the database. I re-sent it, and it was rejected for "Photo similar to previously accepted photo". Was the accepted one deleted from the database?

Slightly different cropping than yours but its pratically the same photo.

No, I saw that photo yesterday :shock: . It was on the database. That other photo was accepted today and Nick's was gone.

I guess the screener saw the new shot and thought it was so much better than yours that he deleted it. :roll:

Oh well. I'm sad but theres really nothing I can do about it. At least it was a friend's photo that was accepted. :)

That really doesn't make any sense at all, seeing as it was shot by 2 seperate people. Look around, I'm sure you can find that nearly identical shots by different photographers have been accepted and both stayed up before. The fact that yours was accepted first then removed when another version came along is really confusing.

Not by seperate photographers, but

are the same photos with different dates. Excellent shot, but up twice.
