It's mexico, what do you expect. I am sure the american railroads absolutely cringe every time their cars or god help, a locomotive goes down "south of the border". I think the chances of it coming back complete are virtually zero.

What a silly and pathetic substitute for clear thinking.
The US and Mexico interchange railcars all the time. The following article is old but gives the substance of what goes on.

used to be like that in FNM and NdeM days apparently, there are old horror storys of US cars getting lost and being found years later turned into MOW sheds. How true any of that is I dont know but no doubt it has gotten better since privatization since the railroads are now private companys trying to make money rather than just a government organization.

you are correct, Janus, I have been following KCS (stock ticker KSU) for a while, they opened an intermodal facility at Toluca, estimated capacity exceeding 150,000 containers and two million plus tons of cargo per year on more than 130 developed acres, cringing? I don't think so, if you bought KCS last year it was around $13, today it closed at $40.81, and no locomotives or freight lost
