Does anyone recall Amtrak's Floridian in the mid-1970's on it's way through Northern Indiana? As a teenager, I observed its passage through my hometown of Flora in the early evenings. This was on the I&F branch of Penn Central's SouthWest Division.

I rode it one time from Chicago to Birminham. It was a SLOW train!. It took all night to get from Chicago to Louisville, then the whole rest of the day to get to Birmingham. A lot of 40-50 mph running. Had a nice dome car, though.
