I went out tonight to catch the 507 on the 507 arriving in Eugene after seeing it on the olympia webcam. So I biked over to the Amtrak station in the cold to catch it. As I pulled pulled out my $30 tripod, one of the legs decieded not to work so it became a bipod. So making the best with my new bipod I pulled out my camera, and snaped away. I had a nice chat with the engineer who identified him self as the hog on the SP&S 700. But my pictures turned out "interesting." (The ring around the lights)

since i don't see an option for attaching photos look at this thread on railroad forums to see the pictures I took.

First off, just shoot at ISO 100. There's no need for unnecessary grain. As for the rings, that's just wierd.

The settings look fine to me, just play around with them untill you get a combo that works best.

As for image links, follow the steps inside the box:

As I said before, just toy around with settings and see what works! :D

thanks for the info dan, as for those rings I thing it was because i had moisture on the camera or a problem with the lens kit. it made for an interesting photo though. But not the one I was looking for
