The link doesn't work. Would that happen to be the same video that was shown on the CBS Evening News tonight with the sole purpose of stirring up some anti-railroad sentiment?

I didn't see that it was stirring up anti-railroad sentiment I took it to be more about a bad intersection and a dumb truckdriver.
That truck driver is a complete @$$hole. He better get sued by Amtrak for delaying the train, for the damages, and for endangering human life. Thanks to this other guy who got stuck at this crossing and was videotaping, there's all the proof needed to convict this truck driver.
Thank God it wasn't the cab car like in the Metrolink accident.

Look closly at the video clip, and you will see that the truck is parked with the cab on the other side of the gate when it came down. The truck driver had no idea that the gates were coming down, so when the light turned green, he went through it and when the light turned red, he stopped but had no idea that the gates were coming down. Still, the driver should have been behind the gates in the first place.

I agree he should have stopped before the crossing, but what did he think that big loud horn was? This driver is totally oblivious to anything it appears and is 10 times more dangerous to other vehicles than that train will ever be.
Me thinks he will retain his CDL no more.

Amtrak Sufliner F59's have a very high percing horn, and sometimes they dont blow it as much as they should. i.e queit zones. The truck driver probably had his radio on too loud.
