What's wrong with it? Can it be saved?

Anywho, here's why it got rejected:

("Poor lighting (common power, common angle cloudy day shots generally not accepted.")

Your link does not work... Please post the RP.net reject link that came with the e-mail..

Anyway, RP.net can be a real pain when it comes to cloudy day shots - regardless of how rare or not the train is. I guess they think trains only run on sunny days.. :lol: :P :wink:

Thats funny, that shot isn't cloudy at all. You can see the shadows from the sun. So I don't see the rejection for poor lighting/cloudy day shot acceptable. Yeah, its a roster shot, but it's the traditional boring kind. My personal feeling is it should have been accepted.

It's drab and the color is washed out. Also, since it is a common subject, we'll only take an optimal shot. Go ahead and appeal if you'd like, but don't be too optimistic.

The lead unit may be common, but the 2nd and 3rd units are very rare CEFX. There's only 40 CEFX SD9043's, and there are 60 CEFX AC4400's. To top it off, they could be anywhere in the U.S. or Canada.

Mentioning the 3rd unit is moot since it's not even in the shot. Just try again from that location when you have optimal sunlight...

It has an interesting composition being in a yard.

Firstly, rotate 1 or 2 degrees COUNTER clock wise.

Increase the brightness and contrast just a little - THEN increase the color saturation a little.

It may make it acceptable, but maybe not.

Just do not over do it - it only needs minor tweaking - I agree it looks like the true color of a used and worn unit but.
