Geez, that is sad. Anyone have any idea how fast the coal train was going (I assume the work train was stopped)?

The newest article I have found says "track speed". I'm not sure how fast that is on that line. Hope that helps a little bit.

Track speed on the Creston Sub at McPherson is 60 mph or 55 mph if over 100 TOB.
