1024x768 or 800x600

Hi guys,
Recently I have been getting some of my photos rejected for "Photo needs to be closer to 1024x768 or 800x600. My question is:

What is the best size to resize your photos to? Thanks I appreciate any help given :)

Well right from the digital cam to the computer before I resize them they are 3072x 2048.

I get that alot too. If the picture is nice and centered I will just resize to 1024X768 from 2272X1704. Sometimes I will resize it 900 across to whatever height it is (over 500 pixels in height) so it is a good crop. Than it is rejected so I will go with the screnner. Then it will get rejected for something goofy so I give up pissed off.

My screen is 1162 X 864 pixels.

That comment is often used to replace "Poor Cropping." It means that the picture is either too square or too rectangular.
