Good luck to you, Al. My dad retired from Uncle Pete in 1970 after 30+ years. He hired on as a switchman and retired a Conductor.
All the best to you!

Thanks everyone. Sorry to blow my own horn, but I'm real excited about this possibility and I really hope I get it. It's not about the money, it's about having a job I want to go to everyday, but in all honesty the money isn't bad. I'm currently in the heatlh care field and I'm tired of seeing sick and dead people. Talk about depressing.

Thursday I'll know if they offer me a job.

Right out of high school and I mean right out (the day after I graduated 1974) I went to work for BN, but that was a temporary position. I hated the section gang, talk about back breaking even at 18 it was tough, and there are older guys that still do it. They have my respect. I don't know what possesed me to decide to get back in to it, but I'm glad I did.

Thanks to everyone for your support!!!! But I didn't quite make it. I passed all of the tests, but I don't interview well, so I'm sure that's where I lost out. I'm a bit bummed out, but oh well, such is life. I'll keep trying and they will get sick of seeing me.

Al :( :(

Don't worry about it, you'll have plenty of other chances.

Continue trying.

Are you having fun digging up old threads and posting pointless replies to them?

Good catch, Chris, I hadn't noticed the date.

WKU, the OP last posted on this forum in January 2005, and before then in April 2004, so he is unlikely to receive your warm wishes.

Besides, he already mentioned that he didn't make it. Wishing someone luck for something they didn't get is kind of insulting.

How do you know someone didn't break into his account? Or maybe he was intoxicated?

Urslow,

You certainly will have a plenty of more chances, wishing luck for the next time ;-)
On interviews sometimes may be nervous, and getting down the chances...

Werner, it's been nearly three years since the last time Urslow posted here, and I doubt he's even read any of these updated posts. This thread was resurrected by WKUrailfan who was just trying to be annoying....hence the reason why he's banned.

WKUrailfan being annoying damaged the topic, shoudn't be allow to do it like this way...Why the topic wasn't closed?

Well, after post #10 above, it's anyone's guess.

By the way, where are you originally from?

Hell, 4 years ago, he's either a full fledged engineer, or stayed in the medical field and is a brain surgeon. LOL
