How is this a bad crop?

I have appealed this one already but got nothing back and I really don't agree on this reason for rejection. Please tell me what do.

Andrew

P.S.- I was looking at new additions and came across the same train more than once. I’m just wondering how I can get rejected and these can get in more than once. I can understand the same locomotive in a different location by a different photographer but not like these below, sorry.

Or even 3 of the same train?

Just doesn't make any sense!

I bet if you cropped a bit closer to the left signal, cutting out the fringes of the switch mechanism, that would allow your height to come closer to 768. Great picture any way.

I agree. Try cropping up to the signal on the left, past the orange marker.

Same train and locations but different angles.

I don't think cropping it those few pixels will make the image look any different - or any better for that matter. I can't see how it was rejected, at all. I love the photo, nice work on it.

It's a great shot. Sometimes you just wave the white flag. Any advice from the screener group?

Cheers,

Dave

Your point, Joe? This has nothing to do with the thread topic, but I shall explain anyway because you OBVIOUSLY don't get it.

ID 96204 and 96334 are completely different as one was shot at Duncan, IN (MP 261W) and the other at New Albany, IN (MP 267W). They're not even the exact same angle.

ID 96321 shows a grain train coming around the curve to look at a signal to leave on. Again, a different angle. Same location, but two trains in the shot makes it different.

ID 96338 is a shot of the PUSHERS ONLY at Duncan, not them shoving a train at New Albany or cutting off. It's not the same angle as any previous because it's a light engine movement and a different train number at this point. Your entire argument is irrelevant.

I shouldn't have to come on to a public forum and defend my own photography or anyone elses for that matter. Joe, people like you who come and whine about other people's photography in a public forum are the ones who take all the fun out of railfanning. I know you're thinking that just because I'm friends with a screener than my photos will get in whatsoever. Allow me to tell you a little secret. They're subject to the same criteria as everyone else's. I've had several rejects in the past, but rather than whining about it like it's the end of the world, I went out and made myself a better photographer. However, my goal is not to have photos accepted to this site. If yours is, then you've lost all sight of what railfanning is about in the first place. If you have any problems, you can contact me off the forums. I will not respond to any more posts regarding this matter.

I'll try to remember that.

Guys,

The questions originally presented have been answered and I really don't see where else we can go with this topic. If you have axes to grind, please do it off-forum.
