I thought this angle would be something different and interesting, but it seems that the screeners disagree:

I think maybe if it showed more of the headlight and numberboards it would have been accepted. :)

I think what bugs me about the process the most is that I got two photos submitted late last night rejected for the exact same reason this morning - and the other one was a quite normal angle. I have noticed that the first screening run of the morning is often less predictable than normal - in either direction. Seems that some screeners, when presented with a huge backlog of images, go through and reject everything for the same reason - or indeed approve things that might sometimes get rejected, because I've been surprised in that direction too.
The other thing that bugs me is that when one appeals, rarely does the person looking at the appeal actually clarify the reason for rejection.

Did you appeal the rejection? It would seem the angle is not a major issue,

but they may have some other reason for not taking it.

Morven, the problem with your photo is that size isn't close to the traditional 800 x 600. If you shape the photo to a 800 x 600 photo, it probably would have been accepted. The close-up in Hagerstown that is shown above is closer to 800 x 600, that is why it was accepted.
