I saw a short train of 2 NS units and 4 new GEVO's in primer with black trucks go by my house in Geneva, Ohio this morning, which is right near the NKP former main line. They were headed westbound. Anyone catch these or know what units these may be?

Probably CSX units going to Juniata for paint.

A little birdie told me that these 4 units will be painted in a special paint scheme by CSX.
Here is a representation of one of them

Expect a Clinchfield, L&N, SCL and Chessie System.

I hope you're joking. That rendition looks awfully familiar...

If you're looking for evidence of units being sent to Juniata look no further than this photo from Friday when the latest CSX unit was released and sent back to CSX.

If they're CSX, they're getting a coat of UP armor yellow for the next round of mergers we've been hearing about since at least 1999
Expect a Clinchfield, L&N, SCL and Chessie System.
No B&O, C&O, CR, and maybe NYC, WM, RF&P etc. etc. etc.?

Actually despite my best attempt to start an internet rumor, it failed.
I have no idea why they are in primer, but just guessing GE subcontracted out the painting to Juniata, they have done this in the past.

I say let's start a really good outlandish internet rumor. The bigger the lie, the more they will believe it. All the Class 1s are merging into one really big system... called Conrail.

Here's a good rumor: the Southland Railroad is shutting down and moving to 100% air cargo...
