when i were watching acomplex operation in the central station of kfs city in egypt i saw anew loco which begin to operate in our line from about 2years so i asked to driver of the loco to make me see the loco from the cab so he allowed me and when i get into there i saw adigital screen behinnd the door and when i read the words i can say that its about fixing dates of the loco and speeds limits in the egyptian lines and safety systems .
also i can saw the name of ELECTRO MOTIVE above the digital screen .when searched about this loco through the internet i found that its type is EMD JT22CW-WM from electro motive .
also when i saw the push ability of the loco it was very great .
so i wanna to know is this loco runs in the american lines ? and wat about electro motive company does it from united states of america or from canada?
also this loco has one diesel engine and 6 electrical engines between the wheels of the loco .
and for you all i will attach now apic for this loco to see it and after about 3days i will attach some pix for the complex operation that i saw in the central station of my city kfs

Answers to your questions.

1.) That particular model doesn't operate in the US, although it more than likely shares the same mechanical/electrical systems of American freight locomotives.

2.) The headquarters for EMD are in La Grange, IL (near Chicago). Some components are manufactured in La Grange as well. Final locomotive assembly is done at the EMD plant in London, Ontario.

The JT22CW uses a 2,250 horsepower 12 cylinder 645E3 prime mover.
