Apparently Casey has the authority to stop trains so he can take pictures...

Wish I could do that to CSX trains. "Alright go ahead and stop it there I need to get a few pictures to put on Rail-Pics. Hold on, we got wait for this cloud to pass.....okay, you can go now."

Get hired on by CSX as their official photographer then. Too bad he didn't make sure there was a trsain coming on the other trestle, too.

Yes, Casey is in contact with the crews for 95% of his shots, and positions them accordingly in his photos.
