Thanks to everyone here that responded to my inquiry about good locations in Northern Indiana. Greg and Myself spent Three days up there fighting the clouds and rain, but did manage to bag some decent stuff. We didnt get to visit all the places that where suggested, but that just gives up reason to go back later on. I manged to fill up two CF cards, and here are a few of the better ones...

Friday April 29

A Northbound CN near Union Mills Indiana

A CSX intermodal with UP power crosses the CN at Wellsboro

A South Shore EMU set enters the street running in Michigan City...a nice change of pace from what I usually shoot!

South Shore running down the Street

Saturday April 30th

A Eastbound NS steel train at Mishawaka Ind, on the Chicago line

A Soutbound NS train on the Marion Branch at Milford

A CSX train crosses the diamond at Milford

Detail of the CPL at the CSX/NS diamond at Milford

Two NS Westbounds at Peru Indiana

My favorite from the trip...we dont see sunsets like this in Kentucky...

Sunday May 1st

NS 272 climbs out of Delphi with a SD40-2 leading

A NS Triple Crown at Layfette Ind.

NS Autoparts train at Layfette

Besides trains, we found the time to shoot some other things. While waiting for some Southshore action at Michigan City, we stopped by the beach and checked out the Lighthouse....The temp was around 40, with a stiff wind off the lake....very cold!

And On Saturday we stumbled across a group of vintage John Deer tractor owners having some fun...and it just begged to be shot....

Great shots! Is the CN busy at Wellsboro? Looks like a good spot to railfan to catch double the action.

Those are great South Shore shots. I'm planing a trip to Michigan City some time in the near future to get some of my own.
