I went out this morning hoping to catch this and I was lucky I did! I had to get up pretty early and head down to the tracks. I had no idea if I would see it or not, but a few minutes after I arrived at the tracks, BNSF 7695 came purring (GEVO sound) through. Unfortunately it was mostly cloudy and the clouds moved in front of the sun before it passed and this is what I came up with:
http://www.railpictures.net/viewreject.php?id=124790

Rejection reason: Cloudy shots of common power generally not accepted.

Now I may be wrong, but last time I checked there were only 3 ES44DCs with new logos on them, and only 1 with a yellow logo.
Common power my *ss.
Any suggestions as to how I can make this photo more rare?

Theres a million shots already of those new logo units. So I consider them common power now. Atleast common on RP.NET

Save it for the personal collection. It's a cloudy roster shot.

Ill agree probaby not that common (yet...thankfully), but there is a soft focus issue around the nose that catches my eye as soon as I looked at your link. You have a much better shot of dang near the same thing already in so dont sweat it.....

OT, but we had the BNSF 7687 in the new paint trailing a H2 on NS train 283 through here last week. A conductor buddy of mine that saw it says the new paint is "bright and cheerfull...give you a good feeling"....He will not soon live that statement down :)

There are not a million shots of the new logo. There is only one that is made with the yellow logo, and there are only five photos on the database of it...
http://www.railpictures.net/showphotos.php?road_number=BNSF%207695

And there are 16 of 7687 in the black logo...http://www.railpictures.net/showphotos.php?road_number=BNSF%207687

And there are not any photos of BNSF 7701.

So how is Joe's photo of BNSF 7695 common when there are only five photos of it on the database.

They yellow one will be the rarest of them all, because BNSF has chosen black. 7701's scheme (with the larger logo on the nose) is the final choice, and as soon as they run out of H2 decals H3 ES44s will start rolling out of Erie. When there are 50 with the new logo, then I'll consider it common, but for now, 3 out of however many thousands of locos BNSF owns sounds rare to me.

Oh, and Keegan, there are three shots of 7701, but trailing: http://www.railpictures.net/showphotos.php?road_number=BNSF%207705

Probably got rejected for being cloudy, not common power.

but there is a soft focus issue around the nose that catches my eye as soon

That too.

Yeah, but the fact remains that it's cloudy and the nose is blurred. And like you said, there will be more. Maybe not yellow ones, but that yellow lettered unit will still be roaming the system tomorrow and for years to come, just like BNSF's first experimental Heritage schemes...
