My photo of a switcher was rejected because of bad cropping. My question is what does that exactly mean?

Cropping is cutting and pasting the part of a picture you like. In this case it would appear you either cut too much of the picture (you miss a part of the train for instance) or you did not crop at all (the train barely fills the pic).

Would it be possible for you to post the pic that was rejected? That makes commenting it a bit easier!

seems fine to me...

you might try to cut and paste to remove some of the background.

That is a good photo and all but I think they were right about the bad cropping. I recently had a photo that was rejected because of "bad cropping" and what I did is I re-cropped it, sent it in again, and it got accepted.

What I would do is cut some of the sky off and crop just a little where the ballast begins. Also, cropping most of that house off might be a good idea too.

Btw, nice site!
