DRGW 3110 the last DRGW GP40-2 was patched in Roseville yesturday, luckily i caught a photo of it on Wednesday nose to nose with 8584 another soon to be victim of the UP patch, probably the last photo of 3110, enjoy

So DRGW 3105 is patched now? The Diesel Shop is reporting that 2 are still left unpatched (as of 26 Dec 05).

Here's a photo of 3105 I took in August:

It'd be a damn shame if it's wearing the patch of evil...

It's just the railroad's way of saying "We're too lazy to paint it."

It is to give it a UP number before they end up painting it. It goes far beyond a number on the side of a cab. Now this unit is a UP locomotive, in the UP's computer as such, will be read by trackside scanners as such, and on and on and on. The patch it temporary, basically, it is being renumbered before it is repainted.
