Greetings All,
I need some advice on these 2 shots on how and why the angle is bad and possible ways to fix this and know for future uploads.

For the first one: probably because the rail in the foreground is blocking the bottom of the wheels on the locomotive. Maybe try and gain a little elevation to avoid that in the future at this spot.

On the second: it's probably because it's too in-your-face. Try backing out a bit or using less zoom...

The first one looks too "wide angle", the engine looks as if it tilting away from you. Is it possible to stand further away from the tracks at this location so as to get a more natural perspective?

On the second: it's probably because it's too in-your-face. Try backing out a bit or using less zoom...
I agree, would work better if you can re-crop and get the front of the rear unit in the picture as well

im agree with chris and janet for what they said.
the first and the second shots considered as aroster shots and so they should be very perfect in all condition of railroad photography (angel,cropping,light,level,....).
