View Full Version : NS 68Q Derails, sets on fire, 200 homes evacuated

68Q, unit ethanol train of about 60 cars, derailed on the NS Fort Wayne Line on the bridge in New Brighton, PA. Eight cars caught on fire and burned through the night, some hanging off the bridge. Both NS and CSX (crosses under the bridge where the derail happened) are closed as of now. So much for fall colors on the West Slope and Sand Patch

:roll: .. From the news I saw in Hong Kong ,
they said that the train had more than 80 cars in tow and
the derailed trains were fell into the river under the bridge .
9 cars were burned .

I heard they may have had a B.L.E.V.E. any truth to this or was it just a RRR?

Thats really sad for what happened.So what was the reason of that derailment?I hope that nobody dead or injured.

Ive got to say that the photos from our own Brock Johnson were much better than the shots that AP used taken by their own photographers.

Still, that was a pretty interesting derailment. Glad to see that no one was injured.
