New Commuter Rail for Oregon

Ground breaking today for a new commuter rail line that will connect Wilsonville and Beaverton, Oregon.

This is really pretty cool, and hopefully this can eventually be extended further down the Willamette Valley, say to Eugene.

I love Portland with all their light rail presence. This new line will terminate at our MAX line in Beaverton where riders can continue into Portland.

Go Portland! I wish Seattle had more balls to do stuff reguarding rail transit...

Also would have been cool to use Bombardier bi-levels and MP36's, but those Colorado RDC's are cool.

Are there plans to extend it to Union Station in downtown?

i like portland for the reason also. its so easy to get around down town. just go to the max station and you can get just about anywhere from there.
