I voted yes.

I see CSX do a lot of this "pull-push" thing and it seems to work very well for them. It makes switching a whole lot easier for the crew. Norfolk Southern also practices this type of train movement in some areas.

That push-pull service is practised quite often here in Germany. Everyone knows the InterCityExpress but also Regional trains and InterCity Trains are often operated this way...
Sometimes they just use 2 locos or they have some special car at the end which has full equipment like a loco but isnt one...the conductor still can do the same as if he was sitting in the loco...
I took a pic of one of these cars...
Look at this:

When youre lucky you even have free sight on the tracks when the train is on it's way...

Well, I just have a question. I've seen diesel push-pull service, but is it possible for electric push-pull service. I know MARC uses GP40's for their service, but our HHP-8s haven't been seen in service even after MTA bought them.

On this side of the pond it is very common to have electric push/pull trains. Of course there is a cab car (thanks ICE ;)) on the other end.

aem7demon: as for Germany it definitely is, i don't know about the U.S.
Many InterCity trains are operated by this type of cab car i posted above and electric Locos most likely a Baureihe 101 or a Baureihe 120.

Baureihe 101: http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=40092
baureihe 120: http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=39024 - This is even the same train as in the the cab-car image.
