Standard Railroad Abbreviations

Is there a list of standard abbreviations for railroad names? I have been out of the hobby for about 20 years and I am just starting to get back into it. When uploading photos for RR's like CalTrain I have no clue what abbreviation to use for the Locomotive and Train #'s.

Do a search on a search engine like Yahoo for "railroad reporting marks"...there used to be a master list online of all railroads registered under the FRA/AAR, im not sure if it is still online or not....that might be your best place to start.
