Hello,

I have some video taken on a DVD camcorder which is saved in either VOB or VRO file format.

Can anyone suggest and decent software (preferably free) that can be used to convert these files to AVI MOV OR WMA files within the guidelines laid out for uploading of videos, i.e. minimum compression but filesize under 75MB? I may also need the ability to cut either the source file or converted file into smaller bits as the camcorder seems to have put more than one clip into the same VOB/VRO file.

Thanks

Damian

Hi

The only way I know to do this is to use Nero Recode which will take a VOB file (as long as its not copyright protected) and can output it to an MPEG4 file. That can be taken into Nero Vision (or other editors as long as they recognise MPEG4 format) and output to AVI.
