Is there any filter out there that will help eliminate the refection from the headlight of a nearly oncoming train. The headlight shows up almost anywhere else on the picture depending on the angle of the shot. Any ideas?

Actually, removing any filters you might have on your lenses might help remove reflections ("flares") from your images. Often what happens, at least in the digital and video realms, is light enters the lenses, bounces off the chip (s), reflects back onto any filters you might have on your lenses (such as a sky 1A), then back to the chip where it is picked up as a "ghost" of the bright light source, often green.

Also, as you hinted towards, increasing your angle to the light source will also help eliminate flares, as well as using a longer focal length.
