So I have this cheap ass vid cam I'm using right now, people seem to enjoy the vids which is cool, but I want something better.

What do some of you recommend for a decent inexpensive vidcam? I want a good wide angle, good zoom and good sound. My current cam is weird when I zoom it cuts the sound momentarily and I don't like that problem.

Instead of zooming, just throw your camera towards the train. To "unzoom," just pull back the string you've attached to the back of the camera. Be sure to attach the string before you throw. I've had some videos rejected for "barrel rolls" and "poor editing," but I attribute most of that to arrogant screeners. Regardless, I'm toying around with some other techniques. Good luck, it pretty much fixed the problem for me.

Try using a bungee cord insteadof string! Thanks for the info, I think.
