Should I appeal this or not

I was panning with the train accross the bridge. Is it too much for RP to like?

Hey, Todd;
That's not technically panning and it's definitely not panning WITH the train. You're moving the camera and setting up a new shot every five seconds. Throw in a few zomm ins and you're got a legit rejection reason -- too much camera movement.
A good pan will normally be tighter on the train and will have the front of the train -- up to you how much of the train -- in the frame of the shot all hte time. It will also be fluid. In other words, the camera movement will be smooth, not jerky like the one(s) here.
I'm still a big believer in shooting video of trains as you would shoot stills. Find a good shot. Lock it down and leave it there at least until you have a little more expirience panning and zooming.

So in other words forget it then? Thanks for explaining it.

I agree with Joe. Not even close to panning. Panning should be a smooth following movement. Also the zoom needs to be smoothed out, and the camera shake at the beginning should be edited out. Once you smooth those out, try the "rubber band trick" to smooth your pans out even more by placing a rubber band on the head handle and pull it. The rubber band helps to smooth out jitters even more....but you have to have a fluid head or one that moves easily.
Also it may be better to shoot it on a different day. There is alot of haze or fog in the area that leads to a blurry train.
