When I was out shooting last I decided to record a video as I was taking stills. Just thought I would try my hand at it, results below:roll:

I was just wondering if there is anything I can do with this video.

Besides buying a video camera:lol:

I know the quality is crappy but it was made with a 6mp point and shoot that I got at wally-world(hah) for $90 a couple of years ago. I have had good looking videos in the past with it. I cant figure out what the pink streaks of light are in the video. I also cut off some of the video in the front due to horrible wind distortion. Is there anything that can remove the light rays?

Just wondering if anyone could give some advice.

OK. You wrote that you know the quaility is crappy. So my question: why waste the time of the screeners by uploading it?

Hmm not shure why your coming off like that. Since there was only 3 or 4 in queue when I submitted it, since I have only submitted two videos in a three month period I dont believe I was wasting there time. I posted it here wondering if there was anything I could do with it.

I figured camera movement was there biggest pet peeve. So I figured the composition was good....if your wondering why I would upload it.

Wayne;

I'm not sure how I came off. You said yourself that you know "the quality is crappy." My question was simple: if you knew that, then why did you upload it? That was all without looking at the video. Now that I looked at it, I agree: it is crappy. I don't think there is anything you can do to make it better.

But, Wayne, you were way too close to that train from the look of things.

I was stepped back a great deal the only time I was close to the train was to set up the different shots, the camera was resting on a scrapped rail and roadbed. I wasnt standing where the camera was basically. So the camera was too close I guess, I try to be safe as possible while Im out.

I uploaded it because I figured the composition and a steady camera was what they were looking for.8-) Of course everything looks good on my laptop compared to my desktop. Seems the quality is a lot better when I shoot early in the mornings instead of mid day like that video.....so maybe high sun video rejection coming soon?

Guess I will try more videos when I get a good camcorder after I build up a decent portfolio on RP.

By the way good to see you found a new quote.:lol:
