I hate wind sound in my video!!!

I've been watching other people's videos as well and can hear the wind blowing into the camera mic. Does anyone have a secret to reducing the wind that gets picked up by the video camera?

Either use an external microphone which is fitted with a fluffy foam cover, or if your camera only has a built in mike, try taping a piece of packing foam over it - its not perfect but it reduces the wind noise a lot.

Like Steve said, get a shotgun mic with a windscreen on it. DRASTICALLY cuts down your wind cut on the video. Still be warned thought that you wont be able to shoot in very windy conditions.

I'm not sure what type of equipment you are using but I would suggest taping foam over the mic if you have a consumer camera. If it is a higher end model or you are more serious into videography I would highly suggest a shotgun mic with a wind muff.
