Anyone else ever get the attached error after trying to save a video in Windows Movie Maker? I tried several different save locations with no luck, I have verified that the path is correct for the source video, and I have plenty of available disk space. Any idea what's wrong? BTW, Ignore the "Save Movie File" text showing through, thats an unrelated SNAFU.

And in case Movie Maker has died altogether, does anyone know of any free alternatives (I don't shoot enough video to warrant purchasing a program)?

I usually have to break the video into one or two smaller parts to get it to save the movie. I personally don't like Windows Movie Maker. I have not yet found a way to make the text on the video smaller, and being able to put it on the bottom of the screen and out of the way of the video. I am also not terribly thrilled with it's quality, or acceptable file formats. That's why I think it is nice to have upgraded to Cyberlink Poweredit Express.

How many movies have you saved? It says it needs more disk space, do you operate on a laptop? After all, camcorder videos take a lot of space. My Vista has a newer version on Movie Maker, so I can't answer with 100% effective answers about an XP.
