I had these to photos rejected for the horizon being unlevel. Does anyone else see this?

Keep in mind there is a noticeable grade at this location which can be seen in photo 58868:

Thanks for any comments either way.

Thanks, I didn't notice that overpass until you mentioned it. I did what you said to the first shot and will try again. As for the second shot, it looks like I won the appeal.

Yes, both of these pictures are tilted counter-clockwise. In the first picture, look at the overpass in the background -- it's not level, it's lower on the left side. In the second picture, the bridge piers in the foreground lean to the left.

It's difficult to show a grade in a head-on or wedge picture (such as your second shot) without a long telephoto lens. Sure, the train looks like it's going uphill, but everything else looks like it's falling down.

Try rotating both shots 1 or 2 degrees clockwise and I think they'd both be keepers.

The appeal was a mistake on my part - I meant to reject it with the same suggestion that MikeF has pointed out but accidently accepted it. If you would like to submit an improved version I will be happy to delete that one.

I submitted the photo with a 2 degree rotation. If it gets accepted go ahead and delete the other one.

Chris,

It the looks like the replacement was rejected for being too dark. Before I appeal, did I rotate this enough?

Go ahead and appeal it and I'll take a look at it.

Photo 65189 can now be removed since the replacement was accepted. Thanks to MikeF and Chris for their help.
