I use a Panasonic MiniDV camcorder and normally use Windows Movie maker to make my videos to upload to Youtube and this website. I was wondering that if I had a good video editor, would my video quality be any better? If so, what affordable video editor would you suggest?
Thanks

Sony Movie Studio is pretty good. I've used that on my videos. Look at the actual video that comes from the camera compared to the video you process with the editor. If the quality is better on the original, a better editor could give you better video results. Since I've upgraded to HD video, I haven't found a good HD video editor that I like. The best I've seen, and it isn't a very good best, is the Sony Movie Studio 12 Plantinum Pro. I've yet to upload a video from my HD camera because I can't edit it to a decent product. When I watch it on my blueray player, the quality is amazing, but not so much on the computer.

Great video editor? iMovie is really fun and you can put some great stuff out there with it. I've never used it but I hear Final Cut Pro is top notch.
Oh and you'll need an Apple Computer for this stuff so pick one up today!

Ive edited on both Final Cut Pro and Avid in the past but its more of a professional program (TV News), but I wouldnt recommend it if your shooting videos to place on myspace.
