the NS dutch railways just presented the olympic train:

<IMG SRC=http://www.jetphotos.net/user-uploads/helekloper.JPG>
it has the signature of Erica Terpstra and Aad Veenman on the side of the train, and on the coaches: we wensen onze sporters veel succes in athene, translation: we wish our sporters the best luck in athens,
from the inside the train isnt much changed, only old stuff from ex-dutch olympics hangs in it,
this train.(koploper) seems to be very popular to put a commercial on, as the ''childbookweektrain''
<IMG SRC=http://www.jetphotos.net/user-uploads/kinderboekenweekkoploper.JPG>
which hangs full of flags, the mendini, to promote ''groningen'', it has seats wich each in an other color:

a KLM version:

a martinair version:

the 4050 is the only one which had 3 types of commercial, de lage landen, randstad, an employment agency, and Aegon, a insurance company:

i cant remember any other dutch train, except a plan V, with coffeemachines in it

tell me what you think of the commercials on it

I saw the first photo in the main database. I'm guessing the others are in the queue. [if not, you should upload them.]

I like these trains, because they provide a welcome break from the regular equipment. Here in the USA, the postal service painted up Amtrak 100 with a postage stamp motif which was quite interesting. I have some shots of it on rp.net.

a little update on the olympic train:
the olympic rings and the NOC*NSF logo's are removed from the train, because of the sponsoring will start from 1-1-2005, typical dutch, i know all about it :twisted:
