View Full Version : Gone Fishin' -- Railfan Style

Taking advantage of an absolutely perfect day, and because I didn't want to sit around the house either, I headed west early this afternoon to see what I could "catch." First catch was some "Orange Roughy" on 224 at Veechdale. They met 23G at Tucker. I caught 23G around Fisherville, but it was a catfish, so I threw it back. About this time I figured I'd head up to Campbellsburg on the LCL Sub to see what was shaking. I kept hearing some static ont he radio, and upon my arrival, there was a northbound in the hole (good power leading and backlit), stopped short of the Boyer Lane crossing waiting on a Q221. I almost get myself severly train :insert favorite expletive here: but still managed to get a shot of the "Bluegill" leading this train. I figured this would be a good time to end my fishing...er railfanning trip since it looked like nothing else would be moving for a while. The highlights as follows...
