View Full Version : Because I Don't Sit Around the House on a Pretty Day...

It had been a few weeks since there was quality day of railfanning. With work being caught up and a gorgeous day, EB and I headed out yesterday morning to see what we could find on NS. The day started off busy with a broken rail at CP Jessamine which stacked up a few trains behind it. Five trains were viewed in a little over an hour, but then the First District died, so we headed back over towards the Louisville District. That turned out as the place to be yesterday afternoon with six trains seen between Waddy and Shelbyville in about two and a half hours. The highlights are as follows:

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=78717 - 215 knocking down the signal at Wilmore behind some Orange Roughy.
http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=78718 - A pair of UP SD70M's ease train 284 over the bridge at Shelbyville.
http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=78719 - T19 heads back to Lawrenceburg with a GP50 for power.
http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=78720 - 224 taking the siding at Waddy with a FINE pair of EMD's.
http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=78723 - 224 again at the Waddy Firehouse crossing.
http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=78734 - 111 passes the NEW playground built next to the firehouse.

Hope y'all enjoy, and thanks for looking!
