    You’re correct in your assertion that I “took the photo at whatever time I happened to be there” because I saw this caboose while on my why to see a client. I simply didn’t have the time to wait for the sun to be right.

    Furthermore, since I am nothing more then a railfan and ‘S’-scale model railroader who received a digital camera for Christmas, I don’t really understand things like lighting (isn’t that what the flash is for?) and exposure (the camera seems to do that on its own…) and wouldn't have known when the sun was right.

    I have a Canon Powershot A590IS, where can I go to learn how to take better pictures with this?

    Furthermore, several people mentioned that I had not properly edited my picture or edited it poorly. Using Microsoft Office Picture Manager, how can I improve my pictures?
