I'm new posting to RailPictures and Taking pictures of trains. RailPictures has turned down every photo I've submitted all for different reasons.

I think the photo I attached is good. They said...

- Bad Angle: The angle from which the image was composed is poor. This can include extreme angles below or above the subject, uninteresting angles on roster shots, and images in which the train is going away from the viewer.

It was foggy, although the picture is clear, the angle shows the definitions of the locomotive and it's an action shot.

Any feedback would be helpful.

Going away shots are very hard to get accepted, and need an artistic or dramatic element to increase their chances. The attached shot doesn't really have any appeal in those elements.

If you do everything the opposite of what you did in the example, you might stand a chance.

Loyd pretty much covered it all. It's a boring shot of a train going away. Good quality, and the colors seem to be pretty good.

Perhaps trying getting some photos on a sunny day. Overcast days are usually pretty hard to get in to begin with unless you have an artistic composition, etc.

Also, when asking for reject advice, post the url directly to your rejected shot. What's said above is true: since you're just starting out, catch the train coming at you with sunlight at your back. However, taking a step back from the tracks to capture the whole scene is one way to may cloudy shots more appealing to the RP screeners.
