I would say it is too tight on the left and top. I don't like the cut off tree either.

Take some off the left, then a sliver off the top and bottom to compensate your aspect ratio. I would take at least an inch (from my perspective) off the left.

You would have been better served to be at more of an angle to the train, but the location may not have lent itself to this, I obviously dont know. I do see a lot of your shots are like this, i'm not sure if it's a technique flaw or just circumstances of the locations you happen to shoot at.

It's also possible they could give you some sort of lighting rejection too. I got a really nitpicky high sun today.

Are we looking at the same picture?

When I see rejections like this I feel I have no sense of what the screeners are looking for. Great shot. Hope you are able to salvage it for a resubmittal.

As well I enjoy seeing trains from other continents.

You should go to a 2:3 aspect ratio and there by cut the extra space off of the top, left, and bottom.

Pretty much what Troy and crazytiger said. Basically you're centering your train too much.

Thanks guys, as always!

The photo could make it!

I would have left a little more on the top, but good work
