UP's Yellowstone Special In Its Later Life
I grew up in southeastern Idaho near the Union Pacific's Yellowstone Branch line. I'm attempting to locate photographs of the UP's Yellowstone Special, circa 1950s, with the F3s/F7s. Its trips in both directions from Salt Lake City to West Yellowstone and back were mostly at night. Not even UP's museum has any pictures of this notable train in its later years. However, it would leave its end points with a little daylight left. Does anyone out there have any photographs of this train either leaving or arriving at Salt Lake City or West Yellowstone? Rare photographs indeed, if you do.[/i]
